I’m excited for the movie sure, but I don’t think anyone, including Disney could make a truly good venom movie without spider man.
They’re just too intrinsically linked as characters. Even if you do take the spider off Venom’s chest, how do you explain his big white blank eyes or the fact that he’s shooting webs everywhere? You could re-design the whole character, but is it still Venom at that point?
